On World Teachers' Day, and every day, we celebrate teachers and give thanks for all they do to support students!
Teachers are the backbone and the heart of our education system. Teachers play a pivotal role in sharing the future by nurturing students, so they flourish!
First marked in 1994, World Teachers’ Day reminds us not only to celebrate teachers’ profound impacts on students’ learning, but also how teachers have and continue to transform education here and around the world.
This year’s World Teachers’ Day theme, Valuing Teacher Voices: Towards a New Social Contract for Education, highlights the essential role that educators play in shaping our educational system and school district. As we honour teachers, let us also recognize the wisdom and insight they bring to transforming schools and advocating for inclusive, caring, and welcoming spaces for all students.
